I must say at this stage I am very happy with the results from this #NZMM mission I have been on and it has inspired me to keep elevating my game even higher. So far I have completed the following.

Note: If you haven’t been following this (because I’m a lame blogger) Cavell has this dope as f**k 6-7 song EP and we are dropping the single “I Need You” on the 31st of May.

Produced a music video that is currently in editing
Booked a venue and found support acts
Found a artist/graphic designer to do the artwork
Emailed TV production companies to get him on their shows - I have him confirmed for - ULive, The Erin Simpson Show and Four Live.
Got the track we are dropping remixed by one of New Zealand’s best up in coming producer duo’s.

Currently I am working on getting all the radio promo organized for next week. It’s going to be tight but I think I have the charm to get his song heard :) It’s a gift.

Well if you are reading this I do apologize for not doing these updates more regularly but I have priorities and I guess this is more of a “if I have time” thing. It’s not a gift lol.

#NZMM Day 11

So I see the common theme will be that’ll update when I’m ready lol.

Let’s see. We are shooting the music video on Tuesday night for the song we are dropping at the end of the month for my good friend and artist I manage called Cavell. We basically have no budget but we have some good connections and access to some gear. We are shooting it on a Canon 5D mk2 and using some subtle lighting but that is about it. The rest is in the performance and story line.

We have some great promo organized for the week before we release the clip and song so we are really trying to make the video as good as possible with what we have.

Here’s the first and last clip we did. We are using the same crew plus some extras for the next shoot. And of course the lead girl is different.

#NZMM Day 7 (and 6)

Hey guys,

Sorry I got a bit busy on Friday and I don’t work in the weekends so I’ll update you on what’s been happening.

Music video

Booked the venue for the music video AND release party (yep same venue… but not cliche night club video lol)
Booked a model from 62 Models who we have wanted to work with for ages.
Found our Director, Editor, Cameraman, Producer, Lighting and sound people for the video

Promo plan is going well :) Pretty excited to be honest.

Also on a side note I went to the 10yrs of Dirty party at Studio on K’rd. Great night and solid performances all round. Congratulations brothers.

I am still working on making these posts via video but at the moment it isn’t a priority. This sponsorship proposal is :)

Better get to it then.

#NZMM Day 3 - Still no editing software lol

Yep no video again today. Will fix this tomorrow.

So today I was told the girl we want for the clip is not available on the 14th of May so I asked if we changed to the 15th could we get her? Her agency said yes she should be fine for that day and will confirm tomorrow. Look good though.

Also today I went to Unitec to fill out the forms to borrow a lighting kit for the weekend. I am doing some test shots for the shoot on the 15th and wanted the lights so I’ll know what I’m in for in advance.

Oh and this evening I went to Juice bar to see my boy Cavell perform and was delighted to see a young (and very beautiful) “Open Mice Winner” perform. Her performance and songwriting were cool and I can see that she is going to be a star. I have asked around and will update you on who she was and does she have a deal/manager etc.

Cavell was dope as always and he revealed his new single that we are promoting this month. The crowd were feeling it so I’m happy.I love his music and it’s good to see other like minded people appreciate him especially when the aren’t the intended audience (eg: older and white lol). Mean.

#NZMM Day 2

Sorry about the late post but my cracked version of Adobe Premiere isn’t working so I’ll just have to scrap the day 2 video.

Day 2

Today (Wednesday) I was on the hunt for Models and Extras for our music video we are shooting on the 14th of May. Basically I wrote out a basic production schedule and roles we are looking for then sent emails to all the agencies in Auckland.
